A majestic presence

The King crab, originating from the Bering Sea, has a remarkable history. In the 1960s, these crabs were transported by train across Russia from east to west and released into the Barents Sea. It wasn’t until 2002 that fishing for King crab in Norway was officially approved for commercial purposes.

We receive fresh supplies weekly from Norway. Upon arrival, the crabs stay in our cooled basins, maintained under optimal conditions. The fishing of King crab is prohibited during March and April, a measure to protect the population.

Known as one of the largest crab species, King crab is prized for its sweet taste. The meat found in its legs is renowned for its rich texture and flavour.
